"Inexpensive, yet very good quality and quality" 2010-05-19By mmxmmx (Vienna)Around early 2010 I decided to buy a Blu-ray player, and it already rather the Samsung brand had in mind. Currently, I use it as a "modern upscaling DVD player with HDMI output, which thus works perfectly with my other components (AV Receiver, Projector). Both the DVD and video files playback smoothly, and the image in the attitude, "dynamic" much sharper / better than the default setting looks like, and yet there are no noticeable "ghosting". Also a USB drive with NTFS format will work fine. Although YouTube is also very good, but a expandability with various multimedia libraries is apparently not provided. The PC streaming, I have only one computer with Windows XP, but not brought it with a Vista up and running. The fan noise is really only to hear at close, noisy fans and other "childhood diseases" are in this model seems to be no longer an issue.
"Overall assessment" 2010-05-09By tubbslogAs in previous assessments had enough of the technical details are given out, I take some comments and others from a variety of forums.I have bought the player in mid-March. The menu and the setting are clearly laid out. Due to various concerns in the forums, the / load the software update (s), I hesitated, since my player until then Blu-Rays/DVDs all happening perfectly. Ultimately, I decided to update it. Apparently Samsung has refills - after the updates I could find no changes, so all the discs still run perfectly.
The wireless connection works perfectly, making the dubbing of a movie on a USB stick unnecessary.Criticism that the player does not play all formats, I can understand only partially. Finally, it is not a high-end device, and with free converters (Recommended: Real player converter) is a file quickly converted into the appropriate format.
Design, color, etc. is always a matter of taste, ALSO for me no reason to make this assessment.
My conclusion: A really good player at a reasonable price!
"Top" 2010-05-09By HotteI've got the Blu Ray player from Samsung, since I already have a Samsung TV. So far, I am convinced of the device. Looks great and so far have had no problem with a BD or DVD. Can I recommend it further.
