A truly universal player that cuts no corners I was one of the first owners of the BDP-83. The only disappointment was the lack of importance of Netflix. At some point, said that blood loss (software), add this feature, but after waiting for over a year I gave up.
(Netflix and Blockbuster are limited now, but will it soon) Worth the upgrade only to the capacity of the player BDP-93? My answer is yes. Why? Why not simply listen to, but much more. BDP-93 Video image processing, DVD upscaling to be better than the BDP-83. BDP-93 features a built-in wireless connection, even if you choose with an Ethernet cable, connect to improve the speed and stability. BDP-93 record of traffic is stronger and more stable than its big brother (although, frankly, I've never had problems with the transport 83). Support for DVD-Audio and SACD have not mentioned many other formats, including HDCD. In addition, 3D capabilities - not something I like yet, but I decided to go this route, Blu-Ray is ready.
For Blu-ray transport network, much less than the cost of the BDP-93. However, the role offers all products - is to break a high-quality components at a price, not the bank. Runs with good results, almost none. It is a sturdy, built to last. Finally, I bought it for two reasons: flexibility and high quality. One last thing: Oppo is a company that really listens to its customers. quickly and professionally respond to questions and suggestions.
I would recommend this player. Like other critics who buying it directly from Amazon.
