I purchased this S480 BD player mainly make it possible for Netflix on my own aging plasma television, and located out it can make my TV brand spanking new again! The player has lots of great apps and also the Netflix works smoothly. Regualar DVDs are visibly much better than using the old DVD player. I hooked my portable harddrive into it yesterday, and wow it plays just about everything! I haven't tried the 3D function. But frankly, with your an inexpensive player, I'm a lot more than satisfied in what I've come across. Beside, the player looks nice modern, operates quite and funky. The one thing If only is Sony will placed on a passionate ipad app for this. The iphone app is simply too smallish for my taste. All said, this S480 player deserves five stars!
I Quickly connected my Ethernet cable and followed the instruction to get enhanced services and that i was happily surprised using the available on the web capabilities this unit provides. My flat-screen TV turns into a Internet Browser that we never expected! I'll admit that it's a bit clumsy to make use of with no qwerty keyboard, but it's still a Browser. There's also services which I wasn't previously conscious that provide dazzling travel-log videos in HD, along with other entertaining short clips.
