5.0 out of 5 stars

First of all, I admit that I wanted the actual Sony VBD-MA1 for example reason and one cause only: to transfer my own home videos from my personal HD camcorder onto High-definition Blu-Ray disc. That said, it works perfectly for your use for me!

When i own a Canon Vixia HF R10 camcorder, which records in the particular AVCHD mode, and will save you onto SD cards. I wouldn't yet have any sort of Blu-Ray burner on my home computer, nonetheless from past experiences of utilizing the computer to develop DVD-Rs using video lessons from my old camcorder, I learned it might take time, time, time on your hard disk to create the Dvd movie-R disc that can you can play in your current DVD player. Time when I cannot use our computer for any alternative purpose. After I obtained my Canon video camera months back, I thought about (after I planned to purchase burner, software) just just how much wasted time it might take to create some sort of BD-R in hi-def video on the personal computer.

But then along comes the Sony VBD-MA1 and makes life simple! I just get rid of the SD card from our Canon, insert it into the MA1, insert a empty BD-R, and a couple of hours later, I am willing to watch my home flicks in HD on this Blu-Ray player upon my HDTV! And even while my computer is free to use. What could be easier???!!??

I read one evaluate that complained of disturbance, but on my device the loudest noise you could hear is the calm whirring of a small 1" fan that is on the back on the unit. Even if it is possible to hear the quiet whirring of a small one" fan during disc formation, so what?? This unit gets the job accomplished!

I was worried concerning the MA1's compatibility with my Canon, but after the very first time I tried it I ran across there was no dilemma at all. As regarding now it is hard to find too many details on-line about compatibility of a MA1, but after my own , personal sucess I wouln't be very impressed if you can build a BD-R from Any kind of camcorder that records about SD cards in this AVCHD mode. Don't file a claim me if I'm completely wrong about compatibility; it's difficult to acquire much info or many reviews on this cool product so far.....

But personally it has been best so far, and it's exactly what I hoped someone would create since I bought my camcorder: a good way to transfer HD movies from my SD credit card onto BD-R. Just for this use it has ended up perfect for what I needed.
