I purchased this after returning a sony google television blu ray player. Just after opening the package, I'd the standard setup completed inside about A few minutes. The set-up of the blu ray player took a bit lengthier because I'd to produce new accounts for samsung smart television, not a big deal just will take some time for you to finish. As soon as set-up, I loved it!
PROS:
1. Good content offered: Hulu plus, netflix, blockbuster, vudu, Major league baseball network, local event entries, television listings, and much more!
2. Very easy to navigate graphical user interface. Lots of graphical content material, large print, products are grouped inside a logical purchase so that you can find them easily.
3. Very good basic research function
4. Display quality on netflix and hulu plus is great
5. Cost...when compared to the sony google-tv, which includes much less content and a high price, I had been Happy with this price.
6. Sleek design, front-loading digital video disc player with out a tray. Also, it's light-weight and doesn't take up a lot space in my entertainment center.
CONS:
1. No QWERTY keyboard - slows down your typing just a little, not an issue although
2. Response amount of time in the user interface as well as for launching features like applications and netflix is a little slow, however this isn't a big deal.
3. The unit did freeze a couple of times on me, but a basic shutdown and reboot appears to solve this
4. The remote included can function as simple universal remote control, however the codes didn't include my television model and so i experienced to undergo these till 1 worked. Troublesome to complete, but ultimately I found a working code...once again, not a big deal.
5. Does not come with an HDMI cable. Depending on what you are connecting it to you will need at least one HDMI cable, or as many as three if you are like me: blu ray player, cable box (I am dropping cable service now that I have this), TV, and an AV receiver.
I know that is not the Porsche Boxter of internet blu ray players, but I feel VERY good about this purchase and the content offered.
