Customer Reviews
5.0 out of 5 stars
This region free blu ray player is VERY fast and responsive to requires. Nice.

I only applied HDMI audio and video. It sends ALL sorts of audio bitstreamed via Hiburan interface just fine, and I attempted uncommon types like six.1 TrueHD and 7.1 DTS-HD MA with no problem. The everyday 5.1 and six.1 HD formats are usually fine, as are almost all PCM. Likewise with DD 5.1 Ex boyfriend and DTS 6.a single-ES (both discrete along with matrixed) from DVDs. Short: no limitations while bitstreaming current DVD plus BD audio formats.

I attempted the R2 Narnia: Prince Caspian DVD, and it also looked very fine, not any worse than I loved it from an Oppo 2 weeks past. So, we know additional region feature works, nevertheless looks very good as soon as outputting in *PAL*.

FF speeds are like the Oppo, up to 32X. Remote is extremely usable...let's just claim it's a lot more usable (to me) compared to some remotes from selected companies who sell material at 20X+ the amount (cough Denon/Anthem). Buttons have shape differentiation and decent spacing (unlike Sony's PS3 BT far off e.g.). Also decent IR output level as well as sensor sensitivity. (I be expecting most people will utilize another remote if these people keep the player, when i will, but JIC.) There exists a player-specific control list (unusual IME) that you are able to pop up at every time, unlike the region free blu ray player Launch menu which you aren't able to. You can view plus change quite a number of parameters from there, however , many you can't change (typically separate buttons intended for those). Displays separate audio and video bitrates which are once in a while interesting (Oppo can't, Playstation 3 250gb can)

In case people lost track of the rationale this player is "intriguing" throughout my verbosity, this is due to it can play all regions of DVD and also BD (well, theoretically, I would not have discs from all of regions). I am generally not very suggesting it should often be selected instead of on the list of other name-brand BDPs in the $150-200 range, for any typical R1/A person. But if you desire a BDP that steps outside the house these regions, you essentially need to go off-brand guts these days in North America.
