after reading the evaluations i still decided to obtain this bluray player. I LOVE IT. as for unhealthy reviews, i dont feel some people have ever used the bluray technologies before.. I had the sony for 3 many years, the load time with this unit is MUCH speedier than my first technology sony.. Is it slowly? kind of, but it has the common with bluray avid gamers.
as for the people who said internet apps please don't work, i think they must check their connection.. this particular player does not have wifi, but if plugged into your home router, in case your internet is quickly enough, it seems to operate great! i use the idea nightly for netlflix.
Remember with bluray players, at any time it wont play a new disc UPDATE it.. When i cant stress that ample! old players, you would likely update daily it felt like.. this one i have never ran into a issue updates wont fix.
a small problem i had with this particular unit was the fasten like mentioned before.. but of spending hours to be off, buy some gook gone.. glue was off in under 5 a few minutes!!!!
overall i would advocate this if you are searhing for a budget player. it does not have all the amazing features of a more high-priced player (quick start, wireless, etc) but for the value it works and is significantly faster than first age group players. my longest delay with this unit was under 1 min.. this old sony took 16 mins sometimes to insert and YES thats common with old players
it crafted a great replacement for my old sony.. im sure there are nicer units to choose from but this one would it fow me
