We ordered the player to view BBC discs in Region 2 format. The unit came yesterday. It took only minutes to set up, and the Region 2 dvd played flawlessly. Can't say anything about long-term performance, but it's great out of the box.

(This is a review of the service only, as I still haven't settled on the TV I'd planned to hook this up to, so haven't even taken the player out of the box yet.)
The item arrived within days after I ordered it and I am very pleased with the seller and that part of the service. I will update this review after I've bought the new TV and hooked up this DVD player.

This DVD player does well all the basics that I want. It plays foreign DVDs with good visual and sound quality. I should keep my fingers crossed, considering the fact that my previous PIONEER multi-region DVD player broke after two years of usage.
