The Blu-ray revolution continues with the Sony BDP-S350 Blu-ray Player. You can take full advantage of the Bonus View feature of select Blu-ray movies, and are ready to dive into BD-Live when the update is available. In true Sony fashion, the BDP-S350 will output a Full 1080/24p True Cinema picture, plus upscale your existing DVD collection to 1080p as well, when using the HDMI connection. On board decoding for Dolby TrueHD is here, also the ability to send out the bitstream for Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD (Master Audio & High Resolution) as well. BRAVIA sync ensures that with the touch of a button, you can easily power on and synch the inputs of compatible Sony compatible BRAVIA flat-panel LCD HDTV sets and Sony audio/video devices connected to the players, via HDMI, for hassle-free enjoyment of high-definition Blu-ray Discs. Bringing it all together is the new Xcross Media Bar menu system, which is an icon based menu system for simple navigation of the BDP-S350’s menu system.

"Perfect player for me" 2010-02-18By Chris (Vienna)... BlueRay playback is of course top class, but also a DVD is extrapolated to CLASS for the FullHD screen. That is why I bought this player!
"Recommended!" 2009-12-27By stubentiger (Hannover, Germany)I am 100% satisfied with this device and can only recommend it! The Blu-ray Player plays back all that you lodges. Absolutely quiet and without problems. Another top product from Sony and looks really great. So if you want inverstieren the money, it's worth it!
"Super device!" 2009-11-21By Linux fanHave looked at some of equipment rather I have chosen the Sony BDP-S350. The player has everything you could wish for (or rather what I need).
My experience with the player (after 4 weeks of intensive use):
+ Swallows all media+ Very easy to use and Menu Summary+ Very quiet, despite fan+ Ready quickly from the normal mode (25 s where some need more than a minute).+ The remote control is clearly designed, fits well in hand+ Quick mode for those who have no patience :-)+ The upscaling function gets the most out of the DVDs.+ Very simple firmware update via CD
- No HDMI cable (but the cable with the fewest Leifers)
I am fully satisfied with the player.
Greeting and goodbye
Sure, there are certainly better devices, but in this price range? Hardly. The price / performance ratio I find here is unbeatable. Therefore, the player for me is also a perfect introduction to the Blu Ray world. At home he runs, although only on a HD Ready plasma TV, but I am very satisfied with the quality. To what the Sony really is capable of, I am of course Full HD unit of a known sampled. Blu Ray's how our earth would thus to a class experience! The image quality I find to be outstanding, so I tend more and more to give myself a Full HD TV zuzulegen to operate to full potential. Even with the upscaling DVD's will - if some in some barely noticeable-out in higher quality. But DVD is just not designed for DVD and HD, but also a nice feature from the old DVD collection again slightly more robust to rauskitzeln of quality!Connections are sufficient available, HDMI, and further all the necessary connections for example Soundanalgen.
The design for me there is not much to criticize, just to operate. The device itself on a few buttons, such as missing F / etc is not a problem for me personally, the player is in use mainly for Blu Ray and DVD's used, and I follow from the couch, ergo I must here also nothing On the device itself rumdrücken. I generally recommend but not solely on EVERY 5 * recessions to leave, but look at the device in the shop and test the back. Tastes are just different from what appears to me as a trifle - such as lack of buttons - can be very important for others (when I use the player, for example, often for music - CD's use)
All in all: Very good work here, what Sony has delivered with this device. For me, without any weak points, but as I said, test yourself and see in person and will remain essential for every purchase!I hope I could help with this recession.MFG, TGO

"Super device" 2009-09-06By Lars KingI run this unit for half a year on a Samsung LE 40 A 659 and am totally satisfied. Also have very long between Samsung, Panasonic and this device back and forth wondering myself but opted for the Sony because of the recessions best in professional journals. There has been no BlueRay, DVD or CD that he has not read. The upscaling on DVDs works great, skin quality in Blue Ray just to me. Updates install works easy. The BlueRay-Live feature I have not tried, because that's not important to me.A strong buy recommendation!
