Great Bang For the Buck, November 23, 2011
Before Used to do anything with this I updated the firmware.
Hooking up to my Netflix accounts was easier than expected.
Played properly with no freezes and also the image was great.
Freezes in buffering are often as a result of slower Internet connection or source.
Load time are quite quick. Considerably faster than the Panasonic BD which it changed.
I additionally value the truth that I don't need to use an external memory source for streaming capabilities
like a USB thumbs drive or a cards.
I additionally appreciate small footprint that it unit offers.
It's nearly half the size of the typical BD players available today.
All in all, I'd extremely recommend this player.

Great player for a great price., November 24, 2011

I've had this player for a few weeks now and had no problems with freezes as many people reported.
The player includes a good little size.
I believed about placing it vertically but you can't do this because the disc would drop out.
Also design for the case makes it hard to stand on its side.
The drive is quiet, the remote is compact.
Updating the firmware is easy using the Ethernet cable connected.
Booting doesn't take too much time.
Many video streaming services are installed (hulu plus, vudu, netflix just to name a few - there are lots of more).
pandora is just one from the sound services.
Navigation appears like the ps3 in the event that lets you know anything.
DVD's upconvert properly, however appear no much better than on other blu-ray players.
General I'm very happy with this particular player.

I purchased this after returning a sony google television blu ray player. Just after opening the package, I'd the standard setup completed inside about A few minutes. The set-up of the blu ray player took a bit lengthier because I'd to produce new accounts for samsung smart television, not a big deal just will take some time for you to finish. As soon as set-up, I loved it!

PROS:

1. Good content offered: Hulu plus, netflix, blockbuster, vudu, Major league baseball network, local event entries, television listings, and much more!

2. Very easy to navigate graphical user interface. Lots of graphical content material, large print, products are grouped inside a logical purchase so that you can find them easily.

3. Very good basic research function

4. Display quality on netflix and hulu plus is great

5. Cost...when compared to the sony google-tv, which includes much less content and a high price, I had been Happy with this price.

6. Sleek design, front-loading digital video disc player with out a tray. Also, it's light-weight and doesn't take up a lot space in my entertainment center.

CONS:

1. No QWERTY keyboard - slows down your typing just a little, not an issue although

2. Response amount of time in the user interface as well as for launching features like applications and netflix is a little slow, however this isn't a big deal.

3. The unit did freeze a couple of times on me, but a basic shutdown and reboot appears to solve this

4. The remote included can function as simple universal remote control, however the codes didn't include my television model and so i experienced to undergo these till 1 worked. Troublesome to complete, but ultimately I found a working code...once again, not a big deal.

5. Does not come with an HDMI cable. Depending on what you are connecting it to you will need at least one HDMI cable, or as many as three if you are like me: blu ray player, cable box (I am dropping cable service now that I have this), TV, and an AV receiver.

I know that is not the Porsche Boxter of internet blu ray players, but I feel VERY good about this purchase and the content offered.

Customer Reviews LG BD570 Network Blu-ray Disc Player
5.0 out of 5 stars
I was torn relating to the Samsung bd-c6500 this LG player. I chose the samsung because I experienced pretty good success previously with Samsung ---terrible miscalculation. The samsung would certainly not stay connected to my network---and I obtained just bought a new Netgear router-their hottest model. I had your samsung for 1 working day and was so irritated, I immediately boxed it up and sent it back to Amazon and ordered the particular LG BD570. I did must download the updated software to get it to live connected to the network, but after that being connected has been computerized. Netflix movies load within 20 seconds--super speedy. Pandora operates fantastic. Blu ray movies currently have great color and sound. I did have a single problem, however,--the first-time I turned the Ge off it made a weird sound and would not turn back on intended for nothing. I googled this kind of to try and change it and someone said Ge suggested unplugging the electrical power and holding down the electricity button for 30 just a few seconds for a hard readjust. This worked!!!!! I get since turned the person on and off 50 times and the difficulty has not reoccurred, with any luck, it was a just once thing. After the difficult reset, I thought I'd personally have to download software program upgrade and get every little thing working again, but that was not the case. Used to do the hard reset, and everything has worked totally ever since. We like this player and ease of use and user friendly functioning. Blu ray dvd's fill faster than my some other 2 samsung upconversion 1080 units. After every one of the frustration with the new samsung and their customer service, I am now a new LG buyer. I recognize this is a examine for LG, but together I feel I really need to let others know in regards to the lousy customer service in addition to blu ray samsung features---just awful customer assistance. No desire to that helped me to, desire to blame it on the router. Before buying the samsung, google the particular gateway ping problems and pay attention to for yourself.

It is getting harder to find "just a Blu-ray player" however this one fit niche. We have wi-fi ready tv therefore we don't need each of the extras offered on blu-rays today. This was a snap to setup and plays blu-rays and DVDs wonderfully and it can link to the internet if necessary.

For a blu-ray player on a budget, this is a wonderful machine. Plays blu-ray movies. Has a remote. Doesn't nag me. 'Nuff said.
